Looking for double-peaks in galaxy mergers simulations

We look at the gas velocity distrbution along the line-of-sight for simulated merging galaxies of the GalMER database (Di Matteo et al 2007, 2008, Chilingarian et al 2010) using a flexible simulations viewer, initiating an investigation on how mergers parameters, merging stage and orientation impact the potential detection of double-peaks.
